We are pleased to welcome incoming students for both short-term and long-term mobility periods, whether for one semester or for a full academic year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Incoming students may attend courses within several study programmes offered at the Faculty of Education in Osijek.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Study Programmes<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Integrated Undergraduate and Graduate Study Programme<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>University integrated undergraduate and graduate study programme in Teacher Studies<\/strong><br>Duration: 5 years (10 semesters)<br>ECTS credits: 300<br>Academic title awarded: <strong>University Master of Primary Education<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Undergraduate Study Programmes<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>University undergraduate study programme in Early and Pre-school Education<\/strong><br>Duration: 3 years (6 semesters)<br>ECTS credits: 180<br>Academic title awarded: <strong>University Bachelor in Early and Pre-school Education<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>University undergraduate study programme in Educational Rehabilitation<\/strong><br>Duration: 3 years (6 semesters)<br>ECTS credits: 180<br>Academic title awarded: <strong>University Bachelor in Educational Rehabilitation<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>University undergraduate study programme in Speech and Language Pathology<\/strong><br>Duration: 3 years (6 semesters)<br>ECTS credits: 180<br>Academic title awarded: <strong>University Bachelor in Speech and Language Pathology<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Graduate Study Programmes<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>University graduate study programme in Early and Pre-school Education<\/strong><br>Duration: 2 years (4 semesters)<br>ECTS credits: 120<br>Academic title awarded: <strong>University Master of Early and Preschool Education<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>University graduate study programme in Educational Rehabilitation<\/strong><br>Duration: 2 years (4 semesters)<br>ECTS credits: 120<br>Academic title awarded: <strong>University Master in Educational Rehabilitation<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>We look forward to welcoming you and hope that your stay in Osijek will be a valuable academic and personal experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Application Procedures<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before applying, please note the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>An interinstitutional agreement must be signed between your home institution and the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If no such agreement has been signed, please contact the Erasmus coordinator at your home institution.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The agreement must be in place before the beginning of your mobility.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The list of partner countries is available <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unios.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/Popis-Erasmus-ugovora-veljaca-2026.pdf\">here<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 1<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Apply through the current Erasmus mobility call at your home institution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 2<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Your home institution must nominate you for Erasmus mobility at the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek. Nominations for incoming students should be sent to the University\u2019s International Relations Office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 3<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After nomination, you are required to submit the following obligatory documents:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Application Form<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Preliminary Learning Agreement for Studies or Learning Agreement for Traineeships<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>One personal photograph<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Copy of ID card or passport<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Transcript of Records<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Certificate of Erasmus+ student status<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Certificate of non-criminal record (for non-EU students only)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>All required forms are available <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unios.hr\/suradnja\/medunarodna-suradnja\/erasmus-incoming-students\/application-procedure\/\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 4<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Completed application documents must be submitted in scanned PDF format by e-mail to: <a href=\"mailto:klaudijak@unios.hr\"><strong>klaudijak@unios.hr<\/strong><\/a><strong><u><\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>For internships<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Applications for training (Erasmus+ placement) are accepted without any specific deadlines, at least one month before the placement starts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Before Coming to Osijek<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Visa and Residence Permit<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students from EU\/EEA countries and countries under a visa-free regime do not require a visa or residence permit to enter Croatia. Students coming from visa-regime countries must apply for a visa before travelling to Croatia through the Croatian Embassy in their home country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After the application process is completed, students receive a <strong>Letter of Acceptance<\/strong> and <strong>Confirmation of Accommodation<\/strong>, which are required for visa or residence permit regulation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>More information is available <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unios.hr\/suradnja\/medunarodna-suradnja\/erasmus-incoming-students\/before-leaving-home\/\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Health Insurance<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All incoming students must have valid health insurance for the entire duration of their stay in Croatia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Health insurance may be arranged in one of the following ways:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>by using the <strong>European Health Insurance Card (EHIC)<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>through an agreement on healthcare between the student\u2019s home country and the Republic of Croatia<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>by obtaining an international travel and health insurance policy valid in Croatia<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>by arranging health insurance through the Croatian Health Insurance Fund upon arrival<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The cost of health insurance arranged in Croatia is approximately <strong>EUR 60<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Accommodation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students may choose between university accommodation and private accommodation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Accommodation in a <strong>double room in the student dormitory<\/strong> located on the University Campus costs approximately <strong>EUR 115 per month<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Private accommodation is also available and usually ranges from approximately <strong>EUR 200<\/strong> for a room to <strong>EUR 350<\/strong> for a furnished apartment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For university accommodation, please contact:<br><strong>Ms Klaudija Kule\u0161evi\u0107<\/strong><br><strong>E-mail:<\/strong> <a href=\"mailto:klaudijak@unios.hr\"><strong>klaudijak@unios.hr<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Incoming students are also encouraged to contact <a href=\"https:\/\/www.esn.hr\/?fbclid=IwY2xjawQzYjtleHRuA2FlbQIxMABzcnRjBmFwcF9pZBAyMjIwMzkxNzg4MjAwODkyAAEeTERvH4MnhM4dAXX37QPIXmSTsfQp1UonwH4m8H5TDmsDFVDhhnjgYXYFIJ0_aem_1qC7bM3ryLBJrpCudWV1eQ\"><strong>ESN Osijek<\/strong><\/a>, whose members can help with accommodation and adjustment to student life in Osijek.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Travel<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Osijek has its own airport with seasonal direct flights to selected European destinations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The nearest major airport in Croatia is <strong>Zagreb Airport<\/strong>. Travel from Zagreb to Osijek takes approximately <strong>2.5 hours by car<\/strong> or <strong>4 hours by bus<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other nearby international airports include <strong>Budapest<\/strong> and <strong>Belgrade<\/strong>, both approximately <strong>4 hours by bus<\/strong> from Osijek.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Upon Arrival<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 1 \u2013 International Relations Office<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Upon arrival in Osijek, students must first report to the <strong>International Relations Office of the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Address:<\/strong> Trg Svetog Trojstva 3, Tvr\u0111a<br><strong>Office hours:<\/strong> Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. \u2013 3:00 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Registration takes place on the first working day following arrival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During registration, students receive further instructions regarding enrolment and other administrative formalities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 2 \u2013 Student Affairs Office<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After registration at the International Relations Office, students should report to the <strong>Student Affairs Office of the Faculty of Education in Osijek<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Address:<\/strong> Cara Hadrijana 10<br><strong>Office hours:<\/strong> Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. \u2013 3:00 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students receive study-related information and their student card (<strong>X-card \/ iksica<\/strong>), which is used in student cafeterias and also serves as proof of student status.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>During Mobility<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Changes to the Learning Agreement<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Changes to the original Learning Agreement are possible and should preferably be made within <strong>one month of arrival<\/strong>. Any changes must be approved by both the Erasmus coordinator at the home institution and the Erasmus coordinator at the Faculty of Education in Osijek.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once approved, the changes must be entered in the <strong>During the Mobility<\/strong> section of the Learning Agreement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Courses<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All courses listed in the Learning Agreement for Studies are offered in <strong>English<\/strong>. Students usually select courses within their own field of study. If you wish to attend courses outside your main study area, please contact the Erasmus coordinator in advance. Please note that some courses may require prior approval from the course teacher due to limited capacity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students may also attend courses at other faculties of the University of Osijek, provided that class schedules allow regular attendance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>List of courses in English language for exchange students is available <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foozos.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/courses_exchange_students.pdf\">here<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Croatian Language Course<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The University of Osijek offers a <strong>Croatian Language Course for Foreigners<\/strong>, intended especially for Erasmus students. The course is available in both the winter and summer semester and carries <strong>6 ECTS credits<\/strong>. Students staying for the full academic year may take the course once.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Exams<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Examination periods are held at the end of each semester. Before taking exams, students should contact the <strong>Student Affairs Office<\/strong> in order to obtain exam application forms. These forms must be signed by the course teachers, who also enter the final grades. All academic obligations must be completed before departure from Osijek.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Student Survey<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the end of the mobility period, students will be invited to complete a short survey regarding their academic and personal experience at the Faculty. Student feedback is highly appreciated and helps improve support for future incoming students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Leaving Osijek<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students are required to inform the Erasmus coordinator about their departure <strong>at least 10 days in advance<\/strong>.
