Child and language acquisition and Croatian language as part of national identity of bilingual minorities (within the scientific programme Croatian Philology and border territories) – the main researcher  Dr Irena Vodopija, associate professor 

She has  made the programmes of obligatory and facultative courses of Croatian language at the time of the founding of the Faculty of education and the Study of early and pre-school education according to the Bologna declaration  for lifelong education

She has held lectures for primary school teachers and Croatian language teachers Croatia and Hungary,  she has organized courses of Croatian language for the students of the University of Osijek and delivered speeches for the occasion of the Croatian language days

With her coworkers she founded the centre of European Consortium for the Certificate of Attainment in Modern Languages in Osijek (ECL) for the Republic of Croatia, which compiles authorized Croatian language for testing language knowledge in the EU

countries and also grades and conducts Croatian laqnaguge ECL exams .

One of the founders of the International scientific conference Children and Languages Today and a member of its organizing board (since 2001 till today), member of the editorial board of five conference proceedings and chief editor of two conference proceedings

For several years she has regularly taken part in the Department of the Croatian language of the Osijek branch Matica hrvatska in the informative action Language telephone.

She has held speeches at scientific conferences in Croatia and abroad

Full Proffessor Emina Berbić Kolar was born on October 24, 1976 in Slavonski Brod. She finished elementary and high school (secondary school, Faculty of science) after which she enrolled at the Faculty of Education at the University Josip Juraj Strossmayer in Osijek (today the faculty of philosophy) in the study of the Croatian language and literature which ended in 2000 and acquired her professional vocation.

In the academic year of 2000/2001, she enrolled in postgraduate studies, then Pedagogical,  today's Faculty of Philosophy in Osijek, under the title Croatian Language and Literature in the Context of Central European Languages and Literature, focusing on linguistic science. She enrolled in a dislocated doctorine study in January 2007 and  received her Ph.D. on September 8, 2009, with the theme of Speaking of Slavonian Dialect in the Brod Region.

At the Faculty, she conducts lectures for different courses; Croatian language, Language culture, Slavonic dialect, Homeland idiom, Written and oral communication, Lexicology and word formation, Croatian language and communication, Public speech, Language cultural heritage, Functional styles of Croatian literary language, Language-communication skills.
She has written forty professional and scientific papers and is the co-author of three books: Sichuan Riches, Slavonic Folk Medicine Lexicon, Dyslexia and Dysgraphia: Definitions, Approaches and Guidelines.
She has advanced professionally in this country and abroad (Turkey, Poland, Great Britain, Finland, Germany, Austria, Norway, Hungary).
She is a member of editorial offices in two international journals: Evkonyv (Serbia), Oral History (Turkey) and two domestic journals Life and School and Pannonian.
