	Zdenka Kolar-Begović obtained her BSc degree in mathematics and physics from the Faculty of Education in Osijek in 1993. She received her MSc degree in the field of mathematics from the Department of Mathematics, University of Zagreb in 1999. In 2003, she obtained her PhD degree in the field of mathematics from the Department of Mathematics, University of Zagreb. After graduation, Zdenka Kolar-Begović worked as an assistant at the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Education in Osijek. Since 1999 she has been employed at the Department of Mathematics and the Faculty of Education in Osijek. She was Vice head of the Scientific and Organizing Committee of the International Colloquium Mathematics and Children 2007, 2009, 2011, 2013, and Head of these committees 2015, 2017 and 2019. She is the editor of four monographs Mathematics Teaching for the Future (2013), Higher Goals in Mathematics Education (2015), Mathematics Education as a Science and a Profession (2017) i Towards New Perspectives on Mathematics Education (2019). She has been Head of the Department of Natural Sciences at the Faculty of Education (2006-2014 and from 2018 till now). She was a Vice dean for business relationships and international cooperation at the Faculty of Education (2014-2018). She has been Editor in Chief of Osijek Mathematical Gazette since 2012. She is a member of the Geometry Seminar at the Department of Mathematics, University of Zagreb, the Croatian Society for Geometry and Graphics, the Croatian Mathematical Society and the Osijek Mathematical Society and. She is a reviewer for Mathematical Reviews. Dr Kolar-Begović has published 44 scientific papers in international peer-reviewed journals and presented papers at 25 international scientific conferences. She is teaching the following courses Teaching mathematics I, Teaching mathematics II and Mathematics and gifted students.

	She graduated from the Faculty of Education in 1996 in Biology and Chemistry and obtained a professional title of Biology and Chemistry Teacher. She graduated in 2000 and received her PhD in 2005 in the field of ecology, biology, natural sciences at the Department of Biology at the Faculty of Natural Sciences at the Zagreb University. From 1998 to 2008, she worked in the Department of Biology at the Faculty of Education (later the Biology Department ofthe Josip JurajStrossmayerUniversity of Osijek) as a PG student, assistant and senior assistant on the project "Protection of the KopačkiRitReservoir" and was teaching from the natural sciences group: Practices and Seminars from Invertebrates, Marine Biology, Protozoa, Theories of Organic Evolution, Tertiary Teaching II, Embryology and Organic System Evolution). From 2008 until today she is employed at the Faculty of Education. From 2008 to 2010 she was the Chair of the Department of Mathematics and Natural Sciences. From May to October 2010 she was acting vice-dean for education, and from October 2010 to October 2018 the vice-dean for science. Since October 2018 she chairsthe Subdepartment of Natural Sciences of the Department of Natural Sciences of FOOZOS. She teaches in Natural Science I, Natural Science II, Ecology, Field Teaching, Ecological Education in the Pedagogy, Ecology for Sustainable Development, Knowledge of Plants and Animals. She is also an author and a co-author of textbooks, workbooks, methodical manuals, books, book chapters, over 50 scientific papers and numerous professional papers from the field of biology and pedagogy. She is a collaborator on numerous international and domestic projects ("Peacemaking the education and &employment: answers to new challenges and opportunities", the European Night of Researchers (TPTF_ERN) package/theme: Strossmayer days, LUMEN "etc.).

	Ružica Kolar-Šuper obtained her BSc degree in mathematics and physics from the Faculty of Education in Osijek in 1996. In the third year of study, she was granted the Dean's award as the best student in the natural sciences field of specialisation. She received her MSc degree in the field of mathematics from the Department of Mathematics, University of Zagreb in 2003. In 2006, she obtained her PhD degree in the field of mathematics from the Department of Mathematics, University of Zagreb. From 1996 to 1998 she worked as a professor of mathematics and physics at Technical school in Vinkovci. Since 1998 she has been employed as an assistant at the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Education in Osijek. She was Vice head of the Scientific and Organizing Committee of the International Colloquium Mathematics and Children 2015, 2017 and 2019. She is the editor of four monographs Mathematics Teaching for the Future (2013), Higher Goals in Mathematics Education (2015), Mathematics Education as a Science and a Profession (2017) and Towards New Perspectives on Mathematics Education (2019). In 2018, she received an award from the Faculty of Education in acknowledgement of her achievements in the academic year 2017-2018 for her exceptional contribution to the organization of international scientific conferences Mathematics and Children. She was Head of the Department of Natural Sciences at the Faculty of Education (2014-2018). She is currently head of the Sub-Department of Mathematics. She is the member of the Editorial board of Osijek Mathematical Gazette. She is a member of the Geometry Seminar at the Department of Mathematics, University of Zagreb, the Croatian Society for Geometry and Graphics, the Croatian Mathematical Society and the Osijek Mathematical Society. She has published 40 scientific papers in international peer-reviewed journals and presented papers at 20 international scientific conferences. About the Department

The Department of Natural Sciences brings together teachers from the Faculty of Education whose scientific interest is in the fields of mathematics, information science, natural, biotechnical, biomedical, technical and interdisciplinary sciences. The field of teaching of the departmental teachers includes mathematical, informatics and science subjects in the study programs and lifelong education programs of the Faculty of Education. The members of the department participate in the modernization of the existing courses and in the design of new courses in the mentioned fields. The department's teachers are the authors of numerous papers in international peer-reviewed journals and participants in a number of scientific and professional conferences, and have been involved in a number of domestic and European projects. It is necessary to point out the numerous activities of the Department members in the field of popularization of science within the framework of the Science Festival, Brain Week and European Researchers' Night. The Department teachers are members of the scientific, program and organizational committees of a number of scientific and professional conferences, and members of editorial boards and reviewers of scientific and professional journals.

The Department of Natural Sciences, as part of the Faculty, in 2007 started an international scientific colloquium Mathematics and Children, which is held every two years and is attended by scientists from home and abroad. Since 2016 the members of the department have been participating in organizing a symposium with international participation Kopački rit - Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow, whose work includes scientists and experts from home and abroad.

The department brings together 14 members who work within two departments, the Department of Mathematics and Informatics and the Department of Natural Sciences.

	Ivana Đurđević Babić teaches courses at integrated undergraduate and graduate five-year university class teacher studies: Word processing, Introduction to computer science, Informatics in education,Internet in education, Web programming, Logo – programming language, Algorithms and data structure, Computers in leisure and Computer data bases. In addition, she teaches course Computer literacy which is being conducted at the part time university undergraduate study of Early Childhood Education and Pre-school Education. She actively participated at international and domestic scientific conferences and was a reviewer of professional and scientific articles. From 2015 until 2019, she holds the position of Chair President of the Chair of Mathematics and Informatics as part of the Department of Natural Sciences at the Faculty of Education. She currently holds the position of Chair of the Commission for Quality Improvement and Quality Assurance (mandate from October 1, 2018 to September 30, 2022). She is a member of the Croatian Operational Research Society (CRORS).

	Vjekoslav Galzina was born on August 21, 1975 in Slavonski Brod. He finished primary school in Sapci and Garčin, and graduate high school (Mathematical gymnasium) in Slavonski Brod. He graduated from the Mechanical Engineering Faculty in Slavonski Brod, University of Osijek in 2002, got his master’s degree in 2007 and PhD in 2011. Between 2002 and 2004 he was employed at the firm Đuro Đaković Ltd. SlavonskiBrod. From 2004 to 2014 he was employed at Mechanical Engineering Faculty in SlavonskiBrod. Since 2014, he has been employed as a docent at the Faculty of Education, University of Osijek. He is the main CEEPUS coordinator for the network CIII-HR-1005 Educational Systems in Central Europe. Project involvement: 0152014 Expert System of Individual Production Technology MZOS RH. 52-1521781-2235 Development of an ERP system for a digital enterprise. Associate on the bilateral HR-SLO project Flexible production systems design using evolutionary programming (2006/2007). As a Technical Expert he worked on the project from Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA) - Component IIIc: Flexible Manufacturing of Customized Spinal Orthoses (OrtoFlex) (IPA2007/HR/16IPO/001-040504) by September 2014. 	He graduated at the Pedagogical faculty at the University of Osijek in 1998 and earned the title of professor of biology and chemistry. He holds a doctorate in 2011 at the Postgraduate interdisciplinary doctoral study in Molecular biosciences at the University of Osijek. From 2000 to 2004 he worked as an assistant at the Department of biology at the Pedagogical faculty in Osijek. Between 2004 and 2006 he teaches biology and chemistry at secondary school MatijaAntunReljkovic in SlavonskiBrod and from 2006 to 2008 he worked as an assistant at the Department of biology in Osijek. Since 2008, he has been employed at the Faculty of education in Osijek. In 2014 he was elected to the scientific-teaching professorship of an interdisciplinary field of science (basic medical science and interdisciplinary biotechnical sciences). At the Faculty of education, he teaches Health education, School hygiene, Knowledge of plants and animals, Field work, Natural sciences, Ecology, Biological kinanthropology and First aid. 	She was born in Osijek in 1984. She graduated in 2008 at the Department of Mathematics, University of Osijek and earned her degree as a graduate professor of mathematics and computer science. In 2018 she defended her doctoral dissertation at the Faculty of Organization and Informatics in Varaždin, University of Zagreb with a doctoral dissertation entitled “The influence of peer and self-assessment on future teachers' approach to learning and use of information and communication technology“. After graduating, she was employed at Darda Elementary School as mathematics and physics teacher and in Jagodnjak Elementary School as mathematics and computer science teacher. Since October 2008 she has been employed as an teaching assistant at the Faculty of Education, University of Osijek. She performs the function of ISVU coordinator of the institution. 	Ana Katalenić was born in 1986 in Stolac, Bosnia and Herzegovina. She finished elementary and general secondary education in Čapljina, Bosnia and Herzegovina. She graduated in May 2009 at the Department of Mathematics at Faculty of Science in Zagreb, and finished her doctoral studies at the same institution in March 2017. Since July 2009 she has been an employee at the Faculty of Teacher Education in Osijek, where she held courses in mathematics, informatics and mathematics education. She was an associate of an extracurricular activity for ten year old pupils with special interest in mathematics. She participated on various scientific and professional congresses and co-authored several scientific and professional papers. She lives in Đakovo, Croatia with her husband and three children.

	He was born on March 22, 1970 in Berlin. He graduated from the Faculty of Education in Osijek in 1996, got his PhD from the Faculty of Organization and Informatics in Varaždin in 2011. From 1994 to 2006 he worked at the First Gymnasium in Osijek as a professor of Informatics. After that he works as an Assistant at the Faculty of Education in Osijek. From 2011 to 2020 he was a member of the Croatian Parliament, and from 2020 a Senior Assistant at the Faculty of Education.

She graduated at the Department of Mathematics, University of Osijek, in 2007 with the topic of the graduate thesis "Bayesian Statistics" and earned her degree as a graduate professor of mathematics and computer science. After graduating, she was employed at August Šenoa Elementary School in Osijek as mathematics and computer science teacher. Since November 2008 she has been employed as an teaching assistant and since July 2017 as a lecturer at the Faculty of Education, University of Osijek. She has published several scientific and professional papers and has actively participated in several international and domestic conferences. She is a member of the Statistical seminar of the Department of Mathematics and Association of mathematicians Osijek. She is a member of the organizing committee of the Scientific Colloquium Mathematics and Children . She regularly participates in the organization of workshops within the Science Festival. She is an associate in the scientific project No HRZZ-IP-2018-01-8363 „Stručno usavršavanje učitelja u funkciji unapređenja rezultata učenja učenika osnovne škole u prirodoslovnom i matematičkom području“ which is funded by the Croatian Science Foundation. About professor	She has graduated at the Faculty of Education in Biology and Chemistry in 1996 and obtained a professional title of Biology and Chemistry Professor. In 2013,she has done a postgraduate specialist course in Food Safety and Qualityat the Faculty of Food Technology in Osijek, and has obtained an academic title of University Specialist in Food Safety and Quality. In the periods 2003 - 2007, and 2014 - 2016, she has worked as a professor of biology and chemistry in elementary schools and high schools located in Osijek - Baranja County and Vukovar - Srijem County. From 2007 – 2014, she has worked in Belje d.d. and Vupik d.d.as a University Specialist in Food Safety and Quality.
