Osijek will host the 10th jubilee conference Ten years of the Language Policy SIG on 3–4 June 2027 at the Faculty of Education. The Faculty of Education, University of Osijek, successfully won the public call and will serve as both host and co-organising partner of this prestigious international event.
The year 2027 marks ten years since the establishment of the Language Policy Special Interest Group (SIG) within the British Association for Applied Linguistics (BAAL). The SIG provides a forum for critical engagement with language policy and planning worldwide, fostering dialogue between researchers, practitioners, policy makers, and the wider public. It promotes socially responsible and critical inquiry into language-related issues, including social justice, education, and policy discourse, while encouraging collaboration and knowledge exchange across diverse research paradigms.
