CEEPUS Incoming Students
Students awarded a CEEPUS scholarship to study at the Faculty of Education, Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, are welcome to spend a semester or a shorter study period with us. Before your arrival, please read the information below carefully.
Before your arrival
After receiving your CEEPUS scholarship, you are required to:
- accept your mobility in the CEEPUS online system (www.ceepus.info);
- read the General Info Package and accept the scholarship conditions;
- contact the Faculty CEEPUS Coordinator to arrange your Learning Agreement (semester mobility) and obtain arrival instructions;
- ensure you have valid health insurance for the entire duration of your stay;
- check visa and residence requirements if you are a non-EU citizen.
Accommodation
CEEPUS students are generally entitled to free accommodation in a student residence hall, arranged by the Croatian National CEEPUS Office.
To receive accommodation, students must complete the accommodation and consent form within the deadline specified by the National CEEPUS Office. Students who fail to submit the form on time must arrange and finance their accommodation independently.

Scholarship payment
CEEPUS scholarships are paid after arrival in Croatia according to the procedure of the host institution. Before the payment can be processed, students must obtain a Croatian Personal Identification Number (OIB) and provide their bank account details to the host institution.
Student card
Incoming CEEPUS students are entitled to obtain a Croatian student card (iksica), which provides access to subsidised meals in student restaurants. The student card is issued after obtaining an OIB and completing the registration procedure at the Student Administration Office of the host institution.
Residence requirements
Students staying in Croatia for longer periods may need to register their temporary residence.
- EU students staying longer than 90 days must register temporary residence.
- Non-EU students staying longer than 90 days must apply for a temporary residence permit and, where applicable, obtain a biometric residence card.

Before leaving Croatia
At the end of the mobility students must:
- complete the Mobility Report in the CEEPUS system;
- complete and upload the signed Letter of Confirmation;
- return the student card (iksica);
- return the dormitory key (if applicable).
