The 3rd International Online Scientific Conference ICT IN LIFE (ICTiL 2026) was successfully held on May 15, 2026, in a virtual environment via the Zoom platform. Organized by the Faculty of Education at the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, this year’s central theme, “Intelligent Development,” brought together scientists from various fields to disseminate scientific knowledge about information and communication technology in modern society. The event confirmed its international significance by gathering 56 participants from nine countries, including Croatia, Slovenia, Poland, Germany, Albania, Latvia, Turkey, Sri Lanka, and Russia. Throughout the extensive program, 32 scientific presentations were delivered, alongside two exceptional keynote lectures. Full Professor Marek Jabłoński from the Krakow University of Economics presented on “A model of work organization in the era of AI,” while Associate Professor Jernej Kapus from the University of Ljubljana presented on “The Use of Information and Communication Technologies in Swimming: Applications, Benefits, and Challenges”.
Scientific discussions began with an analysis of the impact of Artificial Intelligence on work transformation, specifically focusing on new organizational models and the human competencies required for interacting with technology. Building on these changes, presentations in the field of education and pedagogy explored didactic transformations in digital environments, the application of generative AI in language teaching, and the role of gamification and Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) in modern instruction. Special attention was given to issues of inclusion and creativity, showcasing Information and Communication Technology (ICT) tools that support students with autism, as well as the role of digital storytelling in creative education.
Security aspects of the digital age were addressed through topics such as cybersecurity and data protection on learning platforms, while research on digital fatigue highlighted the importance of preserving students’ mental health and well-being. The conference also touched upon the spheres of society and family, analyzing the challenges of digital parenting, school communication via social media, and the impact of media on early childhood. Finally, technical applications in robotics and the Internet of Things (IoT) were presented, alongside the application of ICT in kinesiology through digital power measurement and diagnostics, completing a comprehensive overview of modern technological development.
Participation in the conference was free of charge for all attendees, and the official language was English, further encouraging international knowledge exchange. More information about the conference, as well as the program and the Book of Abstracts, can be found on the official conference website and the Indico system.
